The Gamekeeper is a warm, engaging, humorous character, and we love nothing more than to arrange to meet him on the hill.

This is an authentic meeting with a very entertaining local, providing a fascinating insight into the workings of the estate and life in this part of Scotland, and the opportunity to sample fantastic local produce.

Cameron has a smoking machine at his home, where he smokes loins of local venison. He pairs this with horseradish or heather honey and oatcakes, and local cheeses and, if it’s at the end of the driving, a bottle of local single malt whisky. We also have an upgrade option to include a side of local smoked salmon, and lots of other local veggie options.

Cameron is always delighted to tell the guests all about his job, and the wildlife on the estate. Groups are fascinated and thoroughly entertained.
